I’ve been thinking about getting a Nook for a while now, but I haven’t for one reason: the inability to play Wipeout on one. I demand this of all my electronic devices.

Well, it seems it’s indeed possible to play Wipeout on a Nook Simple Touch after rooting it and modifying the kernel, so I guess I’ll have to put one on my Christmas list.

It seems that I have never posted anything by Massimo Carnevale here before. This is unfortunate.

To remedy this unfortunateness, I will now post a piece he did for the game Skullmonkeys. He usually takes inspiration from films, but this is fine too.

The Journeyman Project series rules, as most people should be aware. This is a 1992 preview of the first game in the series.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to be able to play as an elephant in Grand Theft Auto IV. Now I can settle for the second-best thing: watching someone else do it.

I’ve been holding off on playing Skyrim for a while. I mean, sure it looks great and all, but it’s been lacking a certain something. Specifically, the ability to summon thousands of trains from the sky in a metallic rain of complete destruction.

Rayman Origins is a pretty great game. Or at least the first world of it is, as that’s all I’ve played so far.

I died in the first scrolling shooter stage. Not because it was difficult, because it really wasn’t. I beat it on my second try without a problem.

No, I died because I was doubled over laughing at the background music, and as a result I could not play the game at all. That background music, “Shooter – Kazoo” by Christophe Héral or Billy Martin, accompanies this post.

This piece is such a glorious trainwreck.
