Here’s the main theme of the blaxploitation film Black Belt Jones by Dennis Coffey.
Of all the music I listened to in middle and high school, this tune is very likely one of the ones I cranked the absolute most. The only reason I knew it was because it was used in the Flash intro of an old gaming site that probably three people besides myself remember, SuperPope.Com. It was a long time before I even knew it was from something else.
In retrospect, this piece is probably the reason I have the love for funk, soul, etc. that I have now. I mean, aside from the fact that funk is fucking awesome.
